I almost gave up trying to get these two still enough to take any pictures, but managed a couple shots. I did however miss their first round of costumes (Lucy has a reputation of changing costumes to uphold) in which they were a witch and a dinosaur. Maybe we will play dress up and recreate them. Halloween night was so much fun. They both had a great time and were so interactive and friendly at each door. Reid overstayed his welcome on most porches with a dozen "thank yous" and "good byes" until people would hand him more candy to give him some closure and help him move on. His basket was at least twice as full as Lucy's (he also reached in to a few bowls after being handed candy).

These Cute Faces
My ambition is to get these cute faces onto my nice camera at least once a month. They move like they are half moth and half chimpanzee, so this is no small task. But I love these faces so it is so worth it. I wouldn't mind this stage passing but I certainly don't want to forget it. All the questions (Lucy) and the grunting (Reid) and the jumping and bumping and darting. The popped collars and the mini mouse + preppy cardigan + mom mandated leggings outfits that someone fit their personalities so beautifully.

First Day of School
Today was Lucy's first day of Preschool. She is asserting that she is nervous, but we all suspect it is just excitement. Actually, the reason she kept giving for not wanting to go was that she didn't like wearing a name tag on the first week of school because it bothered her neck and she couldn't read the other names anyway. She's funny. And particular. But so social and so smart. She will have a great year. And Reid was a little lost today without Lucy for a couple hours, but it will be a good experience for him!

Blogging
I thought I had moved on from blogging, but this is a really important medium for me to keep things organized and remember the sequence and narrative of things. I take a lot of iPhone pictures, but the ones from my camera often have no home...
