The Wedge

Mike's parents are in town for the weekend and in between sessions of general conference Mike's dad asked if there were any cheese stores in Portland. I looked it up online and as it turns out, this weekend was the cheese festival downtown. We jumped in the car and headed for the festival. Turns out I don't like cheese quite as much as I thought I did. Mike and Paul, however, were in heaven.

25 Weeks

Baby Wecker is growing right on track and moving all the time now. I feel like I wasn't showing for so long and now, all of a sudden, there is little hiding it. Beside the difficulty I am starting to have squeezing between desks in the classroom, I feel really good.

Hiking Horsetail Falls

Dad came to visit and we had such a good time watching BYU sports, eating out, playing golf, shopping for the baby, and hiking. They are leaving China soon and we are crossing our fingers they move somewhere fun for us to visit. We want Baby Wecker to be able to see the world but we also want grandparents close by. Can't a girl have it all?
Now we are looking forward to a quick visit from Mike's parents. We are pretty lucky to have such great family!

San Jaun Island High Adventure

Mike spent a week biking the San Jaun Islands with the young men in the ward. He came back tan and toned, sore and sleepy.

Camping in Cottage Grove

We love camping with The Foxes (especially now that their family includes an adorable little girl).

Joining us soon . . .

BABY

Mike keeps reminding me we are not having a baby in order to play dress up but I can't help being a little thrilled about all the cute things to buy.  Beyond that, I grew up with all sisters and I can't wait to raise a little girl with all their drama and charm.  Mike is coming to terms with letting go of his dream of raising a secret ninja spy boy, but who says a girl can't have a little ninja in her as well? He will be such a fabulous dad, I can't wait to see him with his daughter.

Looks like we will be adding some pink to the fabulous paint job Mike surprised me with while I was at Education Week in Utah.

Bryce Canyon and Education Week

We had so much fun running from class to class and trying to visit all our favorite places to eat and hang out from our college days.

Utah Shakespeare Festival

My grandma, my mom, my youngest sister, my dear friend Lisa, and I all meet up to enjoy six plays in three days.  We saw Henry V, As You Like It, Comedy of Errors, The Secret Garden, Private Lives, and Foxfire.  It was so much fun seeing the plays then discussing them for hours after.

Pete and Dina's Wedding

Mike's brother Pete got married this weekend in Salt Lake City and they had a beautiful wedding ceremony, dinner, and reception. They are two people who genuinely find so much joy in the other person.
