Lucy and I just finished our first independent week. Grandparents are gone and Mike is back at work. Despite some trepidation, Lucy and I have had a really delightful week. We are both learning a lot. Lucy learned to smile on demand, to enjoy diaper changes, how to make her mom dread bath time, to enjoy being carried in a wrap around mom, and the power of her voice to coo and captivate a doting mom. I learned to navigate the computer with my toe, how to bounce, sway, bob, and pat all at the same time, to give up a house that is all clean all of the time, to sleep sitting up, how to utilize fabulous people for support, and I learned that I am so in love with this little girl.
