Blue Bell Ice Cream

While waiting for Miss Lucy, we learned that The Outback Steakhouse uses Blue Bell Ice Cream, our favorite ice cream from Texas days, on their desserts. So what are four people waiting impatiently for a baby to do but special order and buy a little of our favorite ice cream?

Lucy and Life Exposed

Lucy is so much fun to have around, but life really does look like this last picture. A little blurred with a lot of laundry undone and a cute little face to dote over all day.

Day 6

I can't say enough about how wonderful it has been to have my mom here. She has been so helpful with Lucy and Lucy loves her adoration.

Lucy's Day Five

Every time I see this girl after a few minutes away, i am completely amazed just how cute she is and that we made her. It has been so much fun having her here. Turns out I had a spinal headache for the last four days but after Mike and mom finally convinced me what I was feeling was not normal, I went back to the hospital, had a spinal clot, and instantaneously felt a million times better. Now I can fully see and enjoy her, instead of adoring through squinting eyes and a throbbing head. I love it.

Portland Art Museum

My mom is in town awaiting the arrival of our little one and we are trying to keep busy and deflect mental energy from getting overly anxious for the baby to be here! We are excited and ready, but I try to remind myself that a few extra days of sleeping 8 hours a night (okay, lets be honest, it is more like 10 hours a night) isn't the worst situation to be in. So yesterday I spent the day with Katie and mom at the museum, shopping, and going to the movies.
And for those rule followers out there, like myself, we did indeed get permission to take this picture inside the museum.

Chinese Gardens

Katie and I went to the Chinese Gardens this afternoon. They are free this week, which is great because it is hard to justify spending money to see them when we have seen plenty of gardens in China.
